How Can You Change The Battery In The Chevy Silverado Key Fob?
Chevy Silverado key fobs operate on batteries. With prolonged use, the batteries will die and will need replacements.
The procedure is very easy. To replace the battery, firstly you need to set the key on a flat surface. With the help of a small toolkit such as the NEIKO 01378A Magnetic Screwdriver Set.
Gently open the case of the key. If you use the right screwdriver, the procedure will not require any force. But, sometimes the case does get a bit jammed and will require some gentle force to pry it open. But, make sure you are careful during this process because if you break the case you will have to replace the entire key fob.
Once the case opens up, you will see that there is a battery inside the construction. Remove it and replace it with a new battery. Placing the battery in the key fob is similar to placing batteries in any other appliance. Just make sure that the positive and negative terminals face the right direction.
Once you are done, place the case opening back on the key and screw it close.
If you do break the casing somehow, you can easily purchase a key replacement fob for the Chevy Silverado.
